The story is in the Bio, but Ralph Carty shown here was a real gracious guy. He wasn't the sauntering tobacco spitter like some of us. He had a bright sense of humor and was a real professional. After surviving this, he did a tour in Germany, married a lady after returning home, and she won the Colorado state lottery. He owns a construction firm in Pueblo, Colorado. I'm kind of surprised he's not on this net yet. I took very few pictures of this situation (maybe 5 total) as we were all scared...
