Grinning at the World

These two Sharks appear to be grinning at the world as they rest, while their crews wait for the war to resume. They are at the Special Forces camp at Gia Vuc (WAY out west of Duc Pho), with engines idling and blades turning, awaiting word that the Dolphin slicks have taken off for the next sortie of a combat assault. One pilot is in each aircraft monitoring the aircraft and the radios while the rest of the crew are "smokin and jokin" around the lead aircraft. (Photo by Fred Thompson, 1971)
