This photo was taken of SP4 Wally Nunn in the Summer of 1968 in his gunner's position on the right side of a UH-1C Shark gunship. This photo provides a good view of the modified M-60 7.62mm machinegun and the bungee cord attached to the top of the aircraft's cargo area and to the handle on top of the gun. The cord to the right is the microphone cord for his helmet. Also note the flak jacket Wally is wearing, and the sew-on subdued SP4 stripes on his fatigue uniform. Close-up below.
